Driving Racecars and Helicopters in Las Vegas!!!

Just had one of the best Rovia trips ever!!!

There was a HUGE conference for Rovia clients in Las Vegas this last weekend. There were ~25,000 members who 'took over' the Strip and I was assigned to take 90 members on their ultimate Dream Trip.

First of all, I got to drive a LAMBORGHINI on a race track!!! I went 145 mph with the help of my coach and am totally hooked! There is just nothing like it - especially being at the wheel myself - to feel the power of these cars.

I interpreted all the safety briefings and one-on-one coach sessions with the car coaches for each of the Deaf members - so I kept busy before I got to drive myself. It was fun to see two Deaf members again from my Chicago trip (trip #3). I think I've improved since that trip. ;)

That night we rode in helicopters over the Strip. Riding in a helicopter is one of my life-long dreams. I didn't realize how DIFFERENT it would feel from a plane. I loved that when we took off the entire helicopter tipped forward, not backwards, and that we could turn on a pin. Our pilot was incredible and gave us the trip of a lifetime! I just kept punching the air and had a humongous grin on my face. Feeling so grateful for this job!

One of the unexpected highlights of this trip was to meet so many of my fellow co-hosts and my bosses for my first time. We're all nomads so I never went to a Rovia office for training or even saw my employers when they hired me - everything was done remotely.

While I am a HUGE fan of remote employment, it was wonderful to meet my co-workers and feel like part of a company for the first time. I loved seeing all the different personalities and strengths of the different hosts and hearing stories about the best/worst luck on trips. :D It was a joy to meet the group!

I've been assigned to one more Las Vegas trip, then this is my schedule for the rest of the year:

Toronto

Colorado

Oregon

Maui

I'll post more about the trips - these next few will be the most unique trips I've ever been on - Dream Trips certainly has a variety of experiences for their members. It's just so fun to get to go along! :D

Happy, safe travels my friends!
