Just arrived at the windy city for another adventure as an ASL travel host! :) [Chicago Day 1]

It's the end of a REALLY long day - but the best kind of days. It doesn't matter how many times I fly, I still get giddy on the take-off and I still feel giddy as I arrive somewhere new. I am just feeling so blessed for this job!

For a quick review, I'm the ASL travel host for Rovia, a travel company, and I work with their Deaf members. It's AWESOME! Last week I was in NYC, this week I was in Tennessee, and now I'm in Chicago. I'm a little pooped out, but LOVING this miracle job!

I was up at 2:00 to catch the shuttle to the airport. Thankfully security was really short this morning at the PHX airport *gasp!* and I was able to arrive early for my flight. (It was going to be a close call so my prayers were answered. :) ) I flew from PHX directly to Chicago on American Airlines and arrived at 11 am. The sunrise was absolutely GORGEOUS this morning after the thunderstorms yesterday.

I was excited to just walk in the front door and fall asleep on my hotel bed for a few hours but unfortunately there was some miscommunication somewhere and I found that there was no room booked for me until tomorrow (and The Hotel Chicago is 100% booked). Thankfully, one of my fellow co-hosts offered me her room as she's from Chicago and can stay home for an extra night. SO kind of her to make changes so last minute - I'll be thanking her all weekend for this blessing! :)

So after about 4 1/2 hours after arriving in Chicago, I finally was able to just crash on my bed and sleep. Gotta love the joys of travel haha. Now I feel much more ready for the weekend! :) [Do you SEE how fluffy these beds are? Heavenly!]

I went to lunch during the wait at the House of Blues. Sooooo fun! The decor was out of this world and I just loved the feel. :) Hope to go while I'm here during performing hours!

I'm just filing reports and getting ready for bed. Tomorrow will be a wonderfully full day. :)

Happy travels, y'all!

Destiny

P.S. Remember to pray for Turkey right now - their situation is declining rapidly. :'(
